FF author's tea

Today FF invited me to her Author's tea. My last chance to see her in her kindergarten class. I asked for a day off at work so I can be there today.

Standing there with other parents. I felt that I am also graduating from kindergarten. More like I am graduating from being a kindergardener parent. I remember when Brennan was in Kindergarden. I would find the teacher and asked him all the questions about his academic achievements, how he behaved in class and worried he is not reading the highest reading level.

This time, I let Cayleigh to show me her pictures, read me books and shared her silly pictures with me.

We were the first one standing up and get friends to take pictures. I hope she remember how much she loves her teacher that "I want to be a teacher just like Ms. Dembroski."

I hope she remember how she was loved by her friends,

how she learns to be honest with me not trashing her lunch even she was not able to finish the whole jar of rice in the BIG thermo that she claimed.

I hope she remember how she tried to be kind to her friends and she earned friends that trust her dearly. It is great to see how her friends want to be next to her and she was the one eager to help out, opening apple sauce for Isaac, opening lunchable for Vivian.

Kindergarten year comes and goes, I think she is ready to be an awesome 1st grader.

Time to start writing again!

Today is the day....to write my thoughts again.

I am now 36. I lived in the States since Dec 1997. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint on my 19th birthday June 29, 1997.

Time flies and now I am a mother with three little kids, 6, 8 and 10. The last 15 years went by and I did not even have time to reflect on it. I am grateful for the Gospel which helps me to focus on what matter most in this life.

We just told another family picture at the temple last week after stake conference. It is always amazing go see how much they grow.

This couple years Brennan has a hard time at school. He was bullied verbally at recess and was not able to find good friends. Therr were days he would cry when I picked him up. He had his bad habit of picking nose and other things, but he really has a tender heart that is always willing to help those in need. We work with the school councilor and his room teacher Mr. Wells. I am happy to see Brennan is happier. He starts to have his little "saxophone" gang and his best friend Stella. He even got picked to be the leader of the "Pack"=class and attended a special breakfast.

When I praised him for his good work. "I just try to do what you teach me Mom!". This gives me alot of comfort. I know I am not the best mom on earth, but I am trying. I do not see what influence I have on him until moment like this.

Recently he also sent an email to the principal to see if he can be called early after Mr. Wells failed to fight for him go be call earlier than his own class. I am so proud to say the fifth grade team agree to call his name early.
